Film? Have you ever checked if lomography on Queen has what you’re looking for?
I have not - thank you for the tip! I will definitely check them out :)
I was home for the long weekend and no one in the Sarnia-area had any which really bummed me out since no one in my Toronto neighbourhood had any either and someone at one of the shops told me that I would be lucky to find it anywhere now and that I should just order it online so I got lazy and just did that.
At the time the exchange was still well in our favour and it was dirt to cheap for the film and to ship and I just couldn’t be bothered to keep looking shop to shop. I admit I could have tried harder.

Where are you moving? Whats the place like? Good luck!
Thank you!
I’m moving back to Ottawa to the building I actually lived in before I moved to Toronto last year. I have never seen this particular apartment as it is not at all like the one I had before, but is A HELL OF A LOT BIGGER. So that’s a plus. I would like to not move again for a long time. A friend of mine lives in the building as well and she was gracious enough to go and see it (and another smaller one) for me and even took a few pictures. But she took loads of notes as well and took a copy of the floor plan and scanned it for me so I could see it (the building is pretty low key and low tech in that department).
Also, the building managers, particular the wife Jan, are amazing and she remembered me and was happy to hold the place until I get back up there tomorrow. I loved my apartment before and living there so I was really psyched that I could get back in. It’s in the perfect spot downtown and reasonably priced. And, I’ll be 2 blocks from T-Money again! Huzzah!
As a bonus, my first night back - tomorrow - I’m going to the Sens game. What a way to ease my way back into the city :D
ofpaper answered your question: Ahhh! I just had a furniture epiphany!
do tell!
Hahaha well this will get boring before it gets interesting (!) but I’m still settling all smaller pieces of furniture since moving, up to and including my desk (which isn’t very big, actually a writing desk) and I still need some shelving of some sort to accommodate books and photos. BUT I just realized that if I abandon the ‘dream’ of a bench in my front hall (which I wasn’t totally sold on) and place a large bookcase in there, room divider size, that opens up possibilities, including a reading nook/area in the living area and would look really good (I think) and still leave lots of room in the front hall.
AND I’m stealing the idea from a friend (who just moved herself and gave her blessing) of a nice wall decal in my room on the wall I can’t hang anything on (it’s secretly a wall of panelling so it only has give but is painted apartment white so you can’t tell until you try to hang something), I could move this odd peacock theme* I have into there, which makes more sense with colour schemes.
If that made any sense to you, I tip my hat.
*I just happened to buy a lamp with peacock feathers on it to go on my desk and followed that up with the chair which also has a peacock pattern to it. They’re not my favourite animal or anything, it just worked out that way and it’s really grown on me because it’s a bit unusual and combines both my loves of green and kooky.
