Taxes done and filed.
There are advantages to being a single person with no discernible property or things of value. It takes about an hour and a half to do taxes start to finish and file them.  That includes a call to the tax product people for a question regarding a specific deduction AND a call to the government to ensure they have my correct address on file (which went directly to a person, no wait time.  I almost...

Oscar party was a success!
And I won the pool between T-Money and I (though I’m sure I lost the one at work but whatever I have an Amazon gift card coming my way!) Highlights: - Billy Crystal opening (the usual but I don’t care) - Emma Stone presenting - Rose Byrne and Melissa McCarthy presenting - Christopher Plummer winning like the badass he is in that suit and his OoC pin - The bread thinger I made was...

fuckyeahsens: The Senators have given up a draft pick. The round of that pick has yet to be announced.  Ben Bishop has been 24-14-0 with the Peoria Rivermen, the Blues AHL affiliate, this year.  I thought we weren’t going to panic?

The new boy in our office left me a surprise gift...
It’s a bag of crisps, Hula Hoops to be exact, I think because a few weeks ago I shared with him some English biscuits my friend Annelies had brought over for me. He’s Irish and I knew he would appreciate them.  I did share with others but he was the most excited about “back home cookies”. If I was a regular girl, this is where I would swoon I guess?  Nothing against him,...

JoyTV here in Canada, Vancouver actually (thanks time shift cable!) so I’m not sure if you can either get that in the US or a channel where it would run this concurrently. Sorry for the tease. :(

So The River was pretty good from last night*
The pilot episode wasn’t fantastic but enough to keep me interested into the second hour which was much better.  Not A+ material, but had some honest attempts at genuinely scary moments and laid the groundwork well (I thought) for the last 6 episodes. Plus, there was more Bruce Greenwood than I had previously guessed.  Always a good thing. *Thanks PVR! **Confidential to T-Money: if you do...

New Job
As I alluded to a few days ago, an opportunity presented itself at work and I took it.  It wasn’t easy, a lot of back and forth and two directors who fought over me really passionately, which is humbling I have to say.  My current boss tried to keep me and used all of her cards at her disposal but my future new boss and myself argued persuasively to let me go and take over this position...

I know exactly what you mean.  I signed up for tumblr just a few months after fb and as I got more into that, my fb usage waned at a steady rate...

For some unknown - but amazing - reason, BBC...
That’s a reasonable time frame! Only a few weeks after UK viewing. Even though I’ve already seen it and have it forever, I still PVR’d and will watch it again later. I had quite the shitty day at work today and without boring you with details I will just say that re-watching Sherlock is really going to help.  Plus the booze.  And the carby, carb, carb dinner.
